Overview

OSDAN Real Estate operates a Ghana-focused property marketplace for discovering listings, making inquiries, verifying marketplace participants, and completing selected subscription or booking payments.

This policy covers information submitted directly by users, generated through marketplace activity, or received through connected service providers such as payment and hosting partners.

Information we collect

We collect information that is reasonably necessary to run the marketplace, support users, review listings, and process paid activity.

  • Account and profile data, including your name, email address, password, phone number, address, account type, and account status details.
  • Verification and trust data, including Ghana card number, uploaded Ghana card images, supporting verification documents, and review outcomes.
  • Listing and media data, including property titles, descriptions, location details, prices, amenities, photos, videos, and related publishing status.
  • Inquiry and communication data, including inquiry name, email, phone number, and message content sent to owners, agents, or the platform.
  • Transaction and subscription records, including Paystack references, payment amounts, statuses, dates, property or unit context, and related booking or subscription records.
  • Session, preference, and technical data needed to keep the app working, such as authentication/session cookies, logs, and saved appearance preferences stored in the browser.

How we use personal information

We use personal information to operate the platform, communicate with users, improve trust and safety, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

  • Create and manage accounts, including authentication, password protection, and access control.
  • Publish and manage listings, property media, and user-generated property information.
  • Route inquiries, booking requests, and marketplace communications to the relevant party.
  • Review verification submissions and reduce fraud, impersonation, abuse, and policy violations.
  • Initiate and verify GHS payments through Paystack for subscriptions, rental bookings, and sale-related transactions handled in the app.
  • Provide support, service messages, legal notices, and operational updates.

When we share information

We do not treat user information as public by default beyond what is necessary for the marketplace to function. We may share or disclose information in the following situations.

  • With Paystack when a payment is initiated, verified, or investigated.
  • With hosting, storage, security, or infrastructure providers that help us operate the service.
  • With counterparties on the marketplace where sharing is needed to respond to an inquiry, manage a booking, or complete a transaction.
  • With regulators, courts, law enforcement, or advisers when required by law, legal process, or a good-faith safety or fraud review.

Retention and protection

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed for account administration, marketplace records, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and compliance obligations.

The platform uses reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect data, but no internet-based service can promise absolute security. Users should also protect their login credentials and upload only documents they intend us to review.

Your rights in Ghana

The rights available to you depend on the facts of the request and applicable law, but OSDAN Real Estate aims to respect the privacy protections recognized under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

  • Request access to personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask for inaccurate or incomplete information to be corrected or updated.
  • Object to certain processing, including direct marketing-related activity where relevant.
  • Withdraw consent where a specific activity depends on consent.
  • Raise concerns about significant automated decision-making and ask for human review where appropriate.
  • Complain to the Ghana Data Protection Commission or pursue remedies available under applicable law.
